Liz Carroll
Born and raised in Chicago by immigrant parents form Co. Offally and West Limerick, Liz is one of the world’s foremost fiddle players.
A winner of the All Ireland Senior Championship at the age of 18, a remarkable achievement in itself, she has since won many honours including Irish Traditional Musician of the Year by the Irish Echo and received a National Heritage award identifying her as “a master traditional artist who has contributed to the shaping of our artistic traditions and to preserving the cultural diversity of the United States”.
Liz has composed some 170 original tunes and recorded her original and traditional tunes as a solo artist, with Trian, Tommy Maguire, Accordion, and guitarist John Doyle.
She is currently touring with John Doyle and can also be heard in concert with Trian and String Sisters.
